Jordan Meadows might be best known for heading the design of Mazda’s Nagare, Kiyora, and Furai concepts, but recently the talented designer has been focusing his attention on two wheel creations.
Meet his latest concept – the Metalback – which, according to Meadows, “exists at the junction of substance and sustainability meeting speed and style”.
Powered by a V4 engine and running on bio diesel – which “increases the range and MPG well above conventional gasoline bikes while running on a fuel which is more environmentally” – the Metalback is a marriage between breakneck performance while also focusing strongly on sustainable ideals.
Not only is its fuel sourced from sustainable supplies but the heavy metal concept will be built from recycled aluminium which helps to keep its weight down while “reclaiming pre-used material”. To really drive the bike’s green credentials home, the metal is treated to patina instead of covering it with “expensive and harmful paint applications”.
